Cyprus Inflation Eases to 4% in July Amid Energy Price Surge

Cyprus's annual inflation rate has slowed down to 4% in July 2026, according to preliminary Eurostat data. This is a slight decrease from June's 4.1%. Consumer prices rose by 0.3% month-on-month.

The July annual rate marks a significant increase from the 0.1% recorded in July 2025. Inflation accelerated to 3.5% year-over-year in May 2026 before rising further in June.

Energy prices are expected to record the highest annual rate among the main components, at 10% in July, compared with 8.5% in June. Services inflation also increased to 3.3% from 3.2%.
