Daiwa Securities Living REIT Secures ¥2.3 Billion Loan for Rental Housing Acquisitions
Daiwa Securities Living Investment Corporation has secured a new short-term bank loan to fund part of its rental housing acquisitions. The JPY 2.3 billion loan, borrowed from MUFG Bank on an unsecured basis, will finance four domestic properties scheduled to close on October 8, 2026.
The loan has a one-year term ending September 30, 2027, and interest is tied to the JBA 1-month Japanese Yen TIBOR benchmark. This new financing does not alter Daiwa Securities Living Investment's investment risk profile, as the leverage increase falls within its established capital structure and risk management framework.
The company's total borrowings will rise from JPY 196.3 billion to JPY 198.6 billion after the transaction, lifting overall interest-bearing debt to JPY 212.5 billion. The REIT invests in domestic rental housing assets, financing acquisitions primarily through bank borrowings and investment corporation bonds.
