Dollar and Euro Plummet in Cuba's Informal Market
The value of both the US dollar and euro has continued to decline in Cuba's informal market. According to recent data, the dollar is now trading at 663 Cuban Pesos (CUP), marking a drop of 1.5 pesos compared to yesterday. The euro, on the other hand, decreased to 758 CUP, down by 2.5 pesos.
Looking at a weekly comparison, the decline of these two major currencies becomes clear. The dollar is now 5 CUP less than the 668 CUP recorded a week ago, a change of -0.7%. The euro has also lost 10 CUP from the 768 CUP of last week, equating to a -1.3% change.
The Freely Convertible Currency (MLC) stands at 459 CUP, experiencing a decrease of 5 pesos.
