Dollar Dips Against Dong Amid Global Strength
The US dollar experienced fluctuations against several major currencies, including the Vietnamese dong. On Wednesday, Vietcombank sold the greenback at VND26,160, down 0.04% from Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, on the black market, the currency was firm at around VND25,950. The State Bank of Vietnam reduced its reference rate by 0.01% to VND25,627.
Globally, the dollar is near this year's high against the euro and is poised for its largest monthly rise against it in 14 months. This is due to US growth and rising US interest rates, in contrast to energy and debt worries in Europe.
