The U.S. dollar experienced a slight decline against the Vietnamese dong on Thursday morning.

Vietcombank reported selling the dollar for VND26,450, marking a 0.04% decrease from previous values.

On the black market, however, the dollar remained steady at VND26,110.

Globally, currency markets were relatively calm, with the yen showing little change at 157.71 per dollar after weakening for two straight sessions.

The yen has given back some of its intervention gains but remains well off last month's multi-decade low of about 164.
