Dollar Edges Up Against Dong Despite Weekly Loss

The US dollar saw an increase against the Vietnamese dong on Friday morning, although it is set to decline by 0.7% for the week.

According to Vietcombank, the greenback was sold at VND26,285, a 0.1% rise from Thursday's rate.

In contrast, the black market saw a 0.23% drop in the dollar's value, with it trading at around VND25,810.

The State Bank of Vietnam reduced its reference rate by 0.04% to VND25,605.
