Dollar Fades Momentum Amid Geopolitical Tensions and Key Economic Releases

The US Dollar has lost some of its momentum from Friday's strong advance despite geopolitical tensions escalating in recent days. Market participants seem to have already factored in the hawkish comments from Chair Warsh at Jackson Hole.

On Tuesday, September 1, the US Dollar Index (DXY) broke below 99.50 as Treasury yields and geopolitical concerns mixed with steady performance. The upcoming releases of ISM Manufacturing PMI, JOLTs Job Openings, and S&P Global Manufacturing PMI are key events to watch.

The EUR/USD has regained some lost ground above 1.1600 after fresh selling interest hurt the US Dollar. The preliminary Inflation Rate in Euroland and Retail Sales in Germany will be closely watched alongside other releases.
