Dollar Falls Against Dong Amid Global Trading Range
The US dollar experienced a slight decline against the Vietnamese dong on Thursday morning. Vietcombank sold the greenback at VND26,290, a marginal decrease of 0.04% from Wednesday's price.
In contrast, the black market saw an increase in demand for dollars, pushing their value up by 0.12% to VND25,890.
Globally, the US dollar traded within a narrow range ahead of the Jackson Hole symposium, while the yen remained steady after a Bank of Japan policymaker hinted at a possible rate hike next month but stopped short of making it explicit.
