Dollar Holds Firm as Euro Declines in Cuba's Informal Market

The U.S. dollar has maintained its stability in Cuba's informal market this Sunday, holding steady at an average value of 683 Cuban Pesos (CUP). In contrast, the euro experienced a slight decline to 775 CUP.

Compared to the previous day, the dollar remained unchanged, while the euro showed a decrease of 1.5 CUP (-0.2%) and the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC) dropped by 7.5 CUP (-1.7%).

The past week saw the dollar continue its upward trend, rising from 675 CUP to 683 CUP, a gain of 7.5 CUP (+1.1%). The euro also increased from 763 CUP to 775 CUP, with a change of 12.5 CUP (+1.6%).

However, the MLC showed a downward trend over the same period, falling from 468 CUP to 444 CUP, resulting in a decrease of 24.5 CUP (-5.2%).
