Dollar Holds Near Two-Month High as Global Price Pressures Rise
The US dollar has held near a two-month high due to rising US Treasury yields. This surge in yields is partly driven by concerns over persistent global price pressures stemming from the Middle East war.
Against the dollar, the euro has marginally lost value at $1.1330 in the early Asian session, posting a 2.5% loss in September, its largest since July 2025. Europe's debt and energy worries have weighed on the currency.
The sterling was flat at $1.3264 after slipping 2.1% last month due to a stronger greenback. The dollar has risen against a basket of currencies, standing at 101.48, up 2% in September.
