Dollar Holds Steady at Rs278 as Pound and Euro Remain Strong
The US dollar maintained its stability in Pakistan's open market on September 30, 2026. The currency was quoted at Rs278.20 for selling, while the buying rate remained at Rs278.00.
In contrast to other currencies, the British pound and euro held strong with selling rates of Rs372.20 and Rs322.35 respectively. The Saudi riyal, UAE dirham, Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, Chinese yuan, Japanese yen, Swiss franc, Singapore dollar, Hong Kong dollar, Swedish krona, and Thai baht also showed varying degrees of stability in both the open market and interbank rates.
Notably, the US dollar's interbank selling rate was Rs277.50, which is nearly identical to its open market selling rate. This suggests that there may be no significant arbitrage opportunities for traders at this time.
