Dollar Index Crumbles Below 102 as US Payrolls Miss Expectations
The US Dollar Index plummeted below 102.00 after missing expectations in its latest payrolls report, which showed a gain of just 29,000 jobs.
Just before the release, the index had reached a high of 102.10, but it quickly fell back to the 101.80 area and stalled short of its earlier peak.
The Dollar Index has since recovered some losses, reaching around 101.90, which is roughly the middle of its daily range.
