The U.S. dollar saw a slight increase in late trading on Friday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, rose by 0.07% to 99.122 at 15:00 (1900 GMT).

This modest gain came as the euro decreased to 1.1596 dollars from 1.1613 U.S. dollars in the previous session, while the British pound rose to 1.3525 dollars from 1.3513 dollars.
