Dollar Index Hits 101 as Greenback Gains Ground

The U.S. dollar saw an uptick in late trading on Wednesday, with the dollar index rising by 0.49% to 101.096 at 15:00 (1900 GMT).

This increase comes as the euro fell against the greenback, dipping to 1.1387 dollars from its previous session's value of 1.1442 dollars.

The British pound also declined in late New York trading, reaching 1.3243 dollars from its previous session's value of 1.3335 dollars.

In other currencies, the U.S. dollar strengthened against the Japanese yen, Swiss francs, Canadian dollars, and Swedish kronor.
