Dollar Index Hits 101.451 as Euro Falls to $1.1332

The US dollar strengthened in late trading on Wednesday, climbing 0.08% to 101.451 in the dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers.

In New York trading, the euro fell to $1.1332 from $1.1341 in the previous session, while the British pound rose to $1.3262 from $1.3229.

The dollar also gained against other currencies, buying 157.34 Japanese yen, up from 157.22 yen previously, and rising to 0.8354 Swiss francs from 0.8336 Swiss francs.
