Dollar Index Reaches New High on Thursday
The US dollar strengthened in late trading on Thursday, according to the latest market data.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, rose by 0.64 percent to 102.102 at 15:00 (1900 GMT).
Compared to previous sessions, the euro fell to $1.1235 from $1.1332, while the British pound dropped to $1.319 from $1.3262.
The US dollar also gained against several other major currencies, including the Japanese yen, Canadian dollars, and Swedish kronor.
