Dollar Index Rises 0.2% as Euro Falls Against Greenback

The U.S. dollar experienced a slight increase in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, rose by 0.2% to 99.003 at 15:00 (1900 GMT).

In related news, the euro fell to 1.1663 dollars from 1.1683 dollars in the previous session, while the British pound was down to 1.3631 dollars from 1.3652 dollars.

The U.S. dollar's gains were also reflected in its exchange rates against other major currencies, including a rise to 0.8026 Swiss francs and 1.3850 Canadian dollars.
