Dollar Index Stuck Below 100.00 Ahead of Key Economic Data

The US Dollar Index (DXY) remains below the 100.00 psychological level as markets await key economic data scheduled for release later in the session. Traders are exercising caution ahead of the release, reluctant to place large bets before getting a clearer picture of the US economy's health.

The dollar's subdued movement reflects a market in wait-and-see mode, with investors awaiting fresh clues from consumer confidence and new home sales figures. These data points could influence the Federal Reserve's next policy move, which has been reinforced by recent comments from Fed officials as being data-dependent.

From a technical perspective, the DXY is facing resistance at 100.00, with a sustained move above this level potentially opening the door for further upside toward the 100.30-100.50 zone. On the downside, immediate support is seen around 99.70, followed by the 99.50 area, which has acted as a floor in recent sessions.
