Dollar Pauses Near One-Month Peak Ahead of Fed Decision
The US dollar paused its advance near a one-month peak on Wednesday, according to QNA.
Currency movements were generally muted as investors refrained from trading ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee's decision, which had a roughly 33% probability of a 25-basis-point rate increase.
The euro continued to decline after dropping to a one-month low, losing 0.3% to $1.1386. The dollar index eased to 101.43, while the yen strengthened to 163.88 per dollar but remained close to a 40-year low.
