Dollar Retreats as Taiwan Dollar Surges to Reclaim 31 Handle
The US dollar has retreated as Taiwan's currency surged to reclaim the 31 handle.
Last week, the US released weaker-than-expected economic data, cooling market bets on Federal Reserve rate hikes and sending the U.S. dollar index lower.
Asian currencies rebounded in tandem, with the Taiwanese dollar appreciating NT$0.166 to break back above the 32 level in early trading.
