Dollar Rises Against Euro to Lowest Level Since May 2025
The value of the US dollar has increased significantly against the euro in September, reaching its highest level since May 2025. The euro has fallen to a record low of 1.1312 dollars, its lowest point in 14 months.
This rise is largely attributed to the economic and monetary outlooks of the United States and Europe. The US growth and increase in interest rates have supported the dollar, while Europe faces concerns about energy, debt, and politics.
The euro has also weakened due to rising oil prices, with Brent crude remaining above $100 per barrel. This can lead to increased import costs for the eurozone and a deterioration of its economic outlook.
