Dollar Rises to Fourth Straight Weekly Gain Against Euro
The US dollar is on track for its fourth consecutive weekly gain against the euro due to higher US Treasury yields and expectations of a hawkish Federal Reserve interest rate stance.
Despite data showing weaker-than-expected US job growth in September, the greenback's upward trend remains intact. Benchmark 10-year Treasury yields have slipped slightly, but remain near multi-decade highs.
The euro is experiencing its fourth straight week of losses against the dollar, with the longest such stretch since mid-May 2025. The dollar's strength is also attributed to rising concerns over European fiscal outlook and higher oil prices.
