Dollar Slips but Expected to Recover Amid Hawkish Central Banks
The US Dollar experienced a temporary dip after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates for the first time since 2023, but it's still expected to strengthen in the coming weeks.
As of Thursday, the US Dollar Index (DXY) hovered just above 100.00, reaching a seven-week high earlier in the week.
The initial lift to the greenback faded as energy prices retreated and President Donald Trump renewed calls for sharply lower rates.
Markets are now looking ahead to Friday's agenda, led by the Bank of Japan (BoJ), which is widely expected to hike interest rates.
