Dollar Soars Amid Geopolitical Uncertainty Ahead of US Data Releases
The US Dollar (USD) has continued its upward trend on Thursday, reaching levels last seen in early April 2025 due to improved sentiment and geopolitical uncertainty.
Investors are gearing up for critical data releases at the end of the week, including the NFP, Unemployment Rate, and Factory Orders. The US Dollar Index (DXY) has broken past the key 102.00 hurdle, hitting 18-month tops as investors await these releases.
The EUR/USD has weakened further, selling off to the low 1.1200s while reaching new 17-month troughs. The release of the flash Inflation Rate in the euro bloc will conclude the domestic calendar.
