Dollar Soars to 16-Month High Against Swiss Franc Amid Inflation Fears
The US Dollar (USD) continued its winning streak against the Swiss Franc (CHF), reaching a fresh 16-month high of 0.8367 on Thursday.
This marks the seventh consecutive trading day that USD/CHF has advanced, with investors increasingly concerned about domestic inflation in Switzerland.
The latest Swiss ZEW Survey, Expectations fell to 2.6 in September from 12.1 previously, indicating a growing concern over inflation developments.
Meanwhile, the US dollar's strength was tempered by weaker-than-anticipated inflation data, which lowered the implied probability of an October Federal Reserve rate hike from nearly 51% to about 38%.
