The United States dollar closed at $159.27 on August 26, up 6 cents from the previous trading day, according to the Bank of Jamaica's daily exchange trading summary.
The Canadian dollar, however, took a hit and ended the day at $114.85, down from its previous value of $115.27.
The British pound also declined slightly, finishing the day at $216.90, after being valued at $216.95 just prior.
