Dollar Strengthens Against Dong Amid Global Market Unsettling
The US dollar strengthened against the Vietnamese dong on Monday morning as it traded at multi-month lows against major peers.
Vietcombank sold the greenback at VND26,330, up 0.08% over the weekend, while on the black market, the currency gained 0.19% to around VND25,970.
The State Bank of Vietnam maintained its reference rate at VND25,600.
Globally, the dollar teetered near multi-month lows as traders awaited details of sanctions on Iran and policy speeches in the US and Japan this week.
