The US dollar strengthened on September 14th as investors awaited crucial interest rate decisions from key central banks. Markets were also influenced by rising oil prices, which surged past $100 per barrel.

According to the dollar index, it rose by 0.23% to 99.34 points. The euro fell by 0.28% to $1.1565, and sterling stood at $1.3503.

The European Central Bank had recently increased interest rates, warning of potential further hikes. Meanwhile, the Bank of England is expected to keep rates unchanged on Thursday.

US Treasury yields remained near multi-year highs, with the two-year yield reaching 4.61% after a 26-basis-point increase last week.
