Dollar Strengthens as Treasury Yields Rise with Oil Prices
The US dollar has maintained its strength in early trading, reaching near 99.50 on the Dollar Index.
This uptrend is largely driven by rising U.S. Treasury yields and higher oil prices, which have reignited inflation expectations.
Rising tensions in the Middle East have led to increased crude oil prices, with WTI crude oil prices reaching around $86 per barrel.
The yield on the 10-year US Treasury note has climbed to a nearly 19-month high of 4.78%, while the 30-year US Treasury bond yield rose to approximately 5.27%.
