Dollar Strengthens on Fed's Kashkari's Hawkish Rate Hike Warning
The US dollar strengthened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Thursday following hawkish remarks from Minneapolis Federal Reserve (Fed) Bank President Neel Kashkari.
Kashkari stated that inflation is still too high, at around 3%, and this view has not changed despite new statistics. He anticipates one more rate hike this year and another in 2027, suggesting a tightening cycle with two additional hikes.
