Dollar Suffers Broad Decline Amid US Debt Concerns
The US dollar suffered a decline against major international currencies on Friday, September 25. The DXY index, which tracks the performance of the dollar against six key currencies, slid by approximately 0.29% in trading.
The WSJ Dollar Index recorded a 0.25% drop. Despite positive economic data from the US and statements from Fed officials suggesting that falling oil prices reduce the likelihood of interest rate hikes, the American currency fell against several major currencies.
