Dollar Surges Against Dong and Yen Amid Rate Hike Uncertainty
The US dollar has seen a slight rise against the Vietnamese dong on the black market, with an increase of 0.23% to VND25,880 (US$0.99).
This change comes after the dollar jumped against the yen globally, following a decision by two policymakers at the Bank of Japan to dissent from a widely expected interest rate hike.
The yen's value dropped due to doubts among traders about further hikes, leading to the dollar's rise to 156.725 yen, its highest point in two weeks.
