Dollar Surges Against Iraqi Dinar in Baghdad and Erbil
The US dollar experienced a significant surge against the Iraqi dinar in both Baghdad and Erbil on Thursday. According to market data, $100 was trading at around 159,000 dinars per unit in both cities.
In Baghdad's Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya central exchanges, the dollar opened higher than Wednesday's close at 157,250 dinars per $100, reaching 158,850 dinars. In the city's currency exchange shops, it was selling for 159,250 dinars and buying for 158,250 dinars.
In Erbil, exchange shops sold $100 for 158,500 dinars and bought it for 158,400 dinars. These fluctuations may indicate a change in market sentiment or economic conditions within Iraq.
