Dollar Surges as FOMC Hawkishness Meets Crude Price Boom
The US Dollar (USD) index has advanced to fresh two-month tops, surpassing the key 100.00 hurdle this week.
This move was largely driven by a hawkish tilt at the FOMC event on Wednesday and unabated strength in Crude Oil prices during the first half of the week.
The Chicago Fed National Activity Index is set to kick off the week's economic calendar on September 21, followed by the ADP Employment Change Weekly and API's weekly report on US crude inventories on September 22.
On September 23, preliminary S&P Global Manufacturing and Services PMIs will be released, alongside the EIA's weekly report on crude oil stockpiles.
