This decline stands out as the dollar's performance varied across different major currency pairs during the session. While it gained 0.13% against the offshore yuan, which traded at 6.72423, the mixed results show that market movements can be complex and unpredictable.

In other commodities, gold held steady at $4,275.97 an ounce, while silver rose 0.58% to $63.959. Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude fell 1.57% to $97.22 a barrel, and Brent crude declined 0.78% to $103.67.
