The euro-yen cross also experienced some fluctuations, dipping to ¥183.76 before rebounding to ¥183.88 during the first half of the morning. However, it eventually softened to ¥183.78 as the 9:00 a.m. hour approached. It's currently trading around ¥183.79 to ¥183.82.
The euro-dollar pair saw a steady increase from $1.1537, reaching levels between $1.1544 and $1.1545. The euro is maintaining a firm undertone against the dollar, with the pair currently trading at $1.1543.
Market participants note that there's a widespread reluctance to take aggressive positions ahead of U.S. economic indicators due for release tonight and monetary policy-related events from both Japan and the U.S. scheduled within the week.
