USD JPY

The dollar-yen pair traded with a buy-side bias in Tokyo on the 25th, driven by yen weakness. The pair dipped to 159.02 in early trading but climbed to 159.22 by 10 a.m.

The euro also trended higher against the yen, rising from 185.41 to 185.76, while the euro-dollar rose from $1.1657 to $1.1671 before easing back.

The divergence in monetary policy direction between Japan and the United States continues to exert downward pressure on the yen, with the U.S. Federal Reserve maintaining high interest rates and the Bank of Japan's pace of normalization seen as gradual.
