The European Central Bank (ECB) and the Central Bank of Brazil are exploring a potential connection between Europe's instant-payment settlement system, TIPS, and Brazil's Pix network.

This collaboration is part of broader efforts to improve international payments, which face high costs, slow processing, limited access, and insufficient transparency according to the G20 Cross-Border Payment Roadmap.

The feasibility assessment covers technical, operational, legal, and business considerations under the roadmap, but no final agreement or implementation date has been announced yet.
