ECB Digital Euro Pilot Sparks Volatility in EUR/BRL Exchange Rate
The European Central Bank (ECB) has launched a digital euro pilot program with online and mobile merchants, aiming for tests in 2027 pending EU legislation.
This move advances the ECB's effort to modernize payment infrastructure and could expand digital euro functionality across the euro area.
EUR/BRL is currently trading at R$5.9341, having posted a modest gain in today's session.
However, technical indicators project a high probability of downside within R$5.8822 to R$5.9683.
