ECB Must Tame Inflation to Avoid Jeopardizing Growth
The European Central Bank (ECB) must prioritize getting inflation under control to prevent economic growth from being endangered, according to Governing Council member Ante Zigman. The Croatian central-bank chief made these remarks on Thursday during an interview with Bloomberg Television's Oliver Crook.
Zigman emphasized the need for the ECB to focus on bringing down inflation, which is currently above 3%, back to its target of 2%. This comes after stronger-than-expected growth in the second quarter.
