ECB to Reassess Interest Rate Decisions Meeting by Meeting
European Central Bank (ECB) policymaker Martin Kocher has reinforced the central bank's stance on interest rates, stating that they will assess the economic situation from meeting to meeting and decide whether to raise rates accordingly.
In an interview with Austrian newspaper Kurier, Kocher emphasized the high level of uncertainty due to the Middle East crisis and the price shock it has caused. He reiterated that the ECB will reassess the situation at every meeting, rather than making decisions based on a fixed schedule.
Kocher's comments provide clarity on the ECB's approach to interest rates, which have been a topic of discussion among economists and investors in recent months.
