ECB to Reassess Interest Rate Policy Meeting-by-Meeting
The European Central Bank (ECB) will reassess its interest rate policy at each meeting, according to ECB policymaker Martin Kocher.
In an interview with Austrian newspaper Kurier, Kocher stated that given the high level of uncertainty and price shock caused by the situation in the Middle East, the ECB would reassess the economic situation anew at every meeting.
Kocher emphasized that the ECB's approach is to evaluate the situation on a meeting-to-meeting basis, rather than making long-term decisions. He cited the high level of uncertainty and price shock as reasons for this approach.
