ECB Unveils Euro Banknote Designs, Citizens Get to Choose
The European Central Bank (ECB) has unveiled its shortlisted designs for new euro banknotes, and the Central Bank of Malta is encouraging citizens to participate in a survey to help choose the final design.
The ECB selected 10 design proposals based on two themes: European culture and Rivers and birds. The new designs will feature iconic figures or birds, replacing the current architectural bridges and windows.
The Central Bank of Malta is urging citizens to participate in the online survey, which will remain open until September 21. The ECB's Governing Council will select the new banknote designs by the end of the year.
