ECB Weighs Rate Hike Options Ahead of September Meeting
The European Central Bank (ECB) will carefully examine data over the summer to determine whether it should raise or maintain borrowing costs at its September meeting, according to ECB Governing Council Member Martin Kocher.
Kocher made these comments after the ECB decided to keep interest rates unchanged on Thursday.
The Austrian central bank chief also stated that there is no 'hard evidence' of second-round effects from the war in the Middle East on the euro-area economy.
