The European Central Bank's wholesale digital settlement bridge, Pontes, has gone live on September 21. According to ECB President Christine Lagarde, the platform was launched following the Eurogroup meeting.
Pontes is one of four Day-One DLT platforms that run on XRP Ledger technology. This marks a significant milestone for the adoption of decentralized ledger technology in central banking.
