Egyptian Pound Under Pressure as Foreign Currencies Rise

The Central Bank of Egypt has released new exchange rates for major foreign and Arab currencies against the Egyptian pound. The rates, effective as of Sunday, show a broad upward movement across various currencies.

The US dollar has reached EGP 51.31 for buying and EGP 51.44 for selling. The euro stands at EGP 59.51 for buying and EGP 59.69 for selling. Meanwhile, the British pound is quoted at EGP 69.36 for buying and EGP 69.56 for selling.

The Swiss franc has also moved higher, with rates of EGP 62.82 for buying and EGP 63.04 for selling. Arab currencies have followed suit, with the Kuwaiti dinar reaching EGP 167.23 for buying and EGP 167.73 for selling.
