Egyptian Pound Weakens by 1.2% Against US Dollar This Week
The Egyptian pound (EGP) ended the week 1.2% weaker against the US dollar, with the exchange rate reaching EGP 52.25 for buying and EGP 52.39 for selling on Thursday.
This marks a slight rebound from Wednesday's easing, which saw the dollar trade at EGP 51.91 for buying and EGP 52.05 for selling. The pound has been trending downward since Sunday, when it traded at EGP 51.65 for buying and EGP 51.78 for selling.
The current rate is close to levels recorded around two weeks ago, when the dollar traded at around EGP 52.14 for buying and EGP 52.28 for selling on September 16.
