EUR/CAD Stuck in Neutral Amid Lack of Central Bank Action
The EUR/CAD currency pair has been experiencing significant hesitation in its movement against the Canadian dollar. Despite an initial surge, the euro has struggled to gain momentum.
According to Christopher Lewis, a technical analyst at DailyForex, the short-term traders are likely to be attracted to this pair due to its range-bound dynamics. The stochastic oscillator is approaching oversold levels, which could trigger a signal for short-term traders.
The 200-day EMA support level has been reached, and the market is currently stuck between the 200-day and 50-day EMAs. This flat movement of moving averages does not provide any clear direction for the pair.
Lewis notes that the range-bound dynamics between 1.60 and 1.63 since April are likely to continue in the short term. The market is waiting for a catalyst to break out, but with neither central bank making major moves, it seems uncertain what will drive the pair forward.
