EUR/CHF Bearish Momentum Continues Amid Reduced Euro Support
The EUR/CHF currency pair has been under bearish pressure, trading below key short- and medium-term moving averages. Despite remaining above its longer-term trend level, the pair shows persistent signs of a downtrend. The current price is at CHF 0.9286, marking a modest move down on the day.
The decline in the euro area's bilateral current account surplus with Switzerland to €79 billion for the four quarters ending in Q2 2026 has reduced support for the euro. Increased French sovereign risk and a two-year high of 1% increase in Swiss CPI have prompted greater demand for safe-haven assets, notably benefiting the Swiss franc.
