EUR/COP Holds Steady Amid ECB's Digital Settlement Push
The EUR/COP exchange rate remains steady at COL$3,692, showing a modest increase from the previous day. The pair currently sits above its short and medium-term moving averages but below the longer-term average.
The European Central Bank (ECB) has introduced Pontes, a service connecting its payment infrastructure with blockchain markets for direct euro settlements. As part of this initiative, the ECB plans to allocate EUR 23 billion of its own funds to digital securities, aiming to advance digital asset settlement for institutional euro users.
This move is expected to boost the euro's appeal among institutional investors and expand its role in emerging markets. However, technical analysis suggests that EUR/COP may be due for a decline, with oversold momentum readings and seller dominance prevailing in the short term.
The predicted price range for the next 2-3 days is COL$3,660 to COL$3,713, with a 57% probability of an upward move and 43% for a decline. A decisive breakout above COL$3,713 could shift the bias bullish, while a drop below immediate support at COL$3,667 may open the door for further downside.
